LET GO & LET GOD! In the hustle and bustle of modern life, we often find ourselves tangled in a web of responsibilities, expectations, and worries. The constant need to control every aspect of our lives can be overwhelming and exhausting. However, there comes a point when we must realize that not everything is within our control. Embracing the concept of "letting go and letting God" (or the Universe) can be a transformative experience, offering peace and clarity amidst the chaos. Take aways: Release Control: Letting go means releasing our tight grip on outcomes and trusting that a higher power or the natural flow of the Universe will guide us toward what is best. It involves acknowledging our limitations and understanding that some things are beyond our influence. This doesn’t mean giving up or being passive; rather, it is an active choice to surrender our anxieties and trust in a greater plan.

Navigating Authentic Living Amid Economic Challenges In Kenyans      In today's dynamic world, maintaining authenticity amidst economic adversity can feel like a daunting task. With societal pressures, especially those magnified by social media, dictating norms and expectations, it becomes crucial to carve out a path that resonates with our true selves and aspirations. In Kenya, where economic challenges often cast a shadow, embracing authenticity becomes even more imperative. Here are three pivotal strategies to embrace authenticity and regain control over our lives, irrespective of external circumstances. 1. Develop Self-Awareness and Define Your Values: In the face of economic uncertainties, it's easy to lose sight of our genuine priorities. Take the time for introspection to uncover your core values, beliefs, and aspirations. What truly brings you joy, fulfillment, and purpose? By gaining clarity on your values, you can make decisions that align with your authentic sel

IT IS NOT GOOD THAT THE MAN SHOULD BE ALONE

Photo: addictioncenter.com     I was just having a long dream speaking with a common face in our TV screens on Citizen TV who'd come to 'check on me' and wanted us to do a project together for schools. As we speak, he points out that he was happy to realize that I'd healed from alcoholism yada yada, how he and Tom had ' sengenyad' me 'back then' about my drinking habits, how he'd always yearned to know why I was deep in alcoholism but he'd never approached me to indulge me, rather he'd always discussed me with person X, Y and Z. On and on.....     After some reflection on waking up, I decide to check on the Bible as it always helps me discern my dreams. First of all let me confess, yes, there was a time I really suffered from alcoholism and attacks of related outcomes like depression. Let's get to the good book.         Genesis 2:18 (KJV): "And the LORD God said, IT IS NOT GOOD that the man

This "sex fast" is often recommended for a period of 90 days. But, as with all counsel, we need to examine it, to see if it is biblical and godly. If Bible verses are used to support this recommendation, the ones cited are found in 1 Corinthians 7: 5  Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.  6  I say this as a concession, not as a command.   1 Corinthians 7:5-6 (NIV) When

SURPRISING GRACE

There was once a great and noble King whose land was terrorized by a crafty dragon. Like a massive bird of prey, the scaly beast delighted in ravaging villages with his fiery breath. Hapless victims ran from their burning homes, only to be snatched into the dragon's jaws or talons. Those de voured instantly were deemed more fortunate than those carried back to the dragon's lair to be devoured at his leisure. The King led his sons and knights in many valiant battles against the dragon. Riding alone in the forest, one of the King's sons heard his name purred low and soft. In the shadows of the ferns and trees, curled among the boulders, lay the dragon. The creature's heavy-lidded eyes fastened on the prince, and the reptilian mouth stretched into a friendly smile. "Don't be alarmed," said the dragon, as gray wisps of smoke rose lazily from his nostrils. "I am not what your father thinks." "What are you, then?" asked

What does it take to begin a relationship with God?  Wait for lightning to strike? Devote yourself to unselfish religious deeds? Become a better person so that God will accept you? NONE of these.
